They have a five-hour battery life, which is enough to last through most workout sessions. The buds have an inbuilt microphone, and are water-resistant. You can control the buds with the remote that comes with them or the companion app. The app allows you to adjust settings for Bose Aware Mode and ANC.
Controls
Unlike the majority of Bose headphones, the 700s don't have physical controls on their ear cups. You'll find an electronic touch panel on the right ear cup, which can be used to swipe or tap your finger. Tap twice to play or pause or pause, swipe up to increase the volume, then down to lower it, and then forward to skip tracks. A single-tap answers calls, and a double tap rejects an incoming call.
The headset lets you switch to the "aware" mode that allows a little bit of a view of your environment. This is a useful feature for anyone who has to be aware of their surroundings while listening to music or making phone calls.
Another feature on the 700s is a motion detector which shuts down your headphones after a time of inactivity.
